HAILEY MAY
Hi I’m Hailey! I have been teaching for over 10 years and I’ve been directing Eminence Dance Company for 5 years! One of my main goals as a director is to help students find their confidence and for each dancer who steps into our studio feel welcomed. My dance training began at the age of 3, I danced all the way until I graduated with my home studio Elite Dance Alliance under the direction of Heather Cashmore and Bonneville High School’s Drill team and Cheer team. After High school I continued my training with Weber State University’s dance team where we were awarded D1 National Hip Hop Champions. Since then I have been training hard with my amazing dance crew Underground Dance Company under the direction of Nick Cordova and Charly Northrup where I have had the opportunity to perform, choreograph, direct, perfect and learn many different styles of dance. Outside of dance I love to cook, spend time with my family, and hike. I’m looking forward to yet another amazing season with my Eminence Family!

KATE NELSON
Hello I’m Kate Nelson! I am a technique and tumbling teacher here at Eminence Dance Company, which is the studio I grew up at and danced at for 15 years! I started under the direction of Misty Robbins at Elite Dance Force and then transitioned with studio throughout the year until I graduated with Elite Dance Alliance under the direction of Heather Cashmore. I am also on the dance team at Weber State University and hold a national title! I also cheered with Weber High School and grew up power tumbling! Teaching dance is my favorite thing in the world and I’m excited for my 2nd year here teaching at Eminence!
Breaking, Whacking, Hip Hop, and Competition Coach
NICK CORDOVA
Hi I’m Nick Cordova! I’ve been training in breaking, whacking, house, contemporary, and many other freestyles for over 10 years. I began my training in Vegas. Then on to studio atmosphere at Dance Crew in Rose Park, Utah and then continued my training with Underground Dance Crew from 2011-2022. On Underground I’ve had tons of opportunities to perform all styles in Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming and California. In 2020 I took ownership of Underground Dance Crew and I’ve had to opportunity to direct and run our own professional dance shows. I’m continuously training and taking classes and I’m excited to get to share with the students and Eminence!

Alexa Cunningham
Alexa Cunningham grew up in Slidell, Louisiana where she developed her love for dance at a young age through a studio near her home. In her high school experiences at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, she became more focused towards developing her modern foundations through the techniques of Martha Graham, Jose Limon and Merce Cunningham. She is a former Dixie Darling and transfer student from the University of Southern Mississippi and is about to start her senior year at Weber State studying Dance Education. She is currently teaching ballet and tap at several studios near Layton, Utah and looks forward to expanding her teaching and choreographic skills in the Ogden and surrounding areas.

MCKENNA WARD
Hi I’m McKenna Ward and I’ve been training in dance for 22 years and I started my training at Elite Dance Force in Utah under Misty Robbins where she continued my Jazz, contemporary and Hip Hop styles, and later Elite Dance Alliance under Heather Cashmore. During my dancing career I’ve worked among professional dancers and choreographers. I started teaching dance at 16, and at age 17 started to pick up Acting and Musical Theatre where I made my debut as Dream Laurie in the Musical Theatre production of Oklahoma!. Recently I choreographed A Chorus Line and Grease the musical at the Ziegfeld Theatre/Egyptian Theatre (Park City). For the past few years I’ve been performing in Lagoons Frightmares! I’ve enjoyed keeping up with my dancing career by performing onstage for other events and joining my dance crew Underground Dance Co. I look forward to another dance season with Eminence Dance Company!

JACE CHADWICK
Jace Chadwick: A born and raised Utahn, he's passionate about all movement art. Growing up training at a studio and conservatory for dance and theatre he developed a love for both street and technical styles. Graduating in 2017 he moved to SLC and LA to begin his career as a teacher and performer. He now resides back in SLC professionally dancing with JUNCTION DANCE CO. and teaching across the Wasatch Front. He loves cats, contemporary dance, and the color orange.

LAUREN MAY
Hi I’m Lauren May! I have be dancing for 13 years and teaching for 3! I started at Elite Dance Force and Elite Dance Alliance with Misty Robbins and Heather Cashmore at the age of 3 then I finished the rest of my training at Eminence Dance Company with Hailey May, my big sister,until the end of my Senior Year. My Sophmore year at Bonneville High School I did Lakettes and then spent the rest of high school career training hard at studio and dancing professionally with Odyssey Dance Theatre, and Underground Dance Crew. I am still currently training and growing with my amazing crew Underground Dance Crew and I’m looking forward to our next season. This year at Eminence I teach Acro, Company Team and Recreation teams! I will also be starting my new job with Crystal Hansen to assist and learn Life Coaching! Looking forward to a great season!

Aspen Brown
My name is Aspen and I have been dancing for 15 years and teaching for 5. My favorite styles are contemporary, pointe, ballroom and hip hop! I am currently on Weber States dance team and I want to help each dancer grow and feel at home when they are in class.
